Lymphatic facial · South Berkeley

Lymphatic Facial for Puffiness, Sinuses, and Jaw Tension. When your face looks puffier than you feel.

You wake up, look in the mirror, and your face looks heavier than it feels. Maybe it is under your eyes, along your jaw, or stronger on one side. Often that puffiness is fluid that has not moved well. This service also helps with things people do not always connect to lymph, including sinus, ear, and jaw congestion.

The connection nobody makes

Sinus, ears and jaw are lymphatic too.

You may not think of a lymphatic facial when your sinuses are congested, your ears feel blocked, or your jaw aches. But those areas share drainage pathways with the puffiness under your eyes, so the same gentle work may help for you too.

Some people come because they want their face to look less puffy. Others come because they have been congested for years and have run out of ideas. They may look like different problems, but I often work with them in the same appointment.

If you recently had facial surgery, you may not be ready for a facial. You may need focused drainage for the face and neck instead. If we have not met and you have long-term sinus problems, I may also suggest focused drainage first so I can get the pathways moving safely before adding the facial itself.

What happens during the facial

What happens during the 90 minutes.

I would rather tell you exactly what happens so you know what you are booking.

  1. First

    Cleanse, then look

I cleanse your face and take a good look at your skin. If there are one or two easy blackheads, I may remove them, but this is not an extraction facial.

  2. Then

    Papaya enzyme

I use a gentle papaya enzyme instead of strong acids, then cleanse your skin again very gently afterward.

  3. Then

    Massage

I massage the face, neck, and shoulders to work the muscles, support circulation, and help you settle.

  4. Then

    Serum and the alginate mask

I choose a serum for your skin, then apply a cool alginate mask that sets and peels off. While the mask is on, I work on your arms, neck, and shoulders too.

  5. Then

    The lymph work

After the mask comes off, I dry the skin and do the focused lymphatic work. I spend time where you need it most, such as under the eyes, around the jaw, or through the sinus pathways.

  6. Last

    Eye cream and moisturiser

I finish with eye cream and moisturizer. Then you sit up slowly, because most people are deeply relaxed by that point.

Which one you need

Facial, or drainage?

If you are well and want your face to feel less puffy, the lymphatic facial is probably right.

If you recently had facial surgery, or you have long-term sinus problems and we have not met, I may want to begin with focused drainage of the head, face, and neck. I need to get the drainage routes moving before I add the full facial.

If you are not sure, set up the free call. I would rather point you to the right service than have you pay for the wrong one.

Worth saying plainly

What this is not.

It is not a treatment for skin conditions

This is not acne treatment or dermatology care.

It is not permanent

The change is not permanent. Sleep, salt, hormones, stress, and your health all affect how much fluid returns.

It is not right immediately after surgery

You may need focused drainage instead of a facial. I will help you choose.

It will not change your face

It moves fluid. It does not lift, fill, or change the structure of your face.

Before you call

Questions people ask me.

What is the difference between a lymphatic facial and a regular facial?

A regular facial focuses on the skin. This includes skincare and adds focused lymphatic work for the face and neck. Moving fluid is the part that may make your face look less puffy by the end.

Can it help my sinuses?

Often, yes. Sinus congestion, blocked-feeling ears, and jaw tension sit in the same drainage area as facial puffiness, which surprises a lot of people.

Can I have one after a facelift?

Eventually, but probably not right away. Early in recovery you may need focused face and neck drainage instead. Set up a call and I will help you choose the right service.

How long does the effect last?

It varies. The change may last days or longer, depending on sleep, salt, hormones, stress, and your health. It is not permanent.

Do you use acids or strong exfoliants?

No. I use a gentle papaya enzyme instead of strong acids for this service.

Is 90 minutes really necessary?

For the full service, yes. The time gives me room for the skincare, massage, and focused lymphatic work without rushing any part of it, and it leaves time to talk with you.

The next step
